CYSTIC FIBROSIS.
-caused by a failure of a protein involved with the chloride balance in the body
Causes:
-respiratory problems (breathing problems and lung infections)
-digestive problems (difficulty in absorbing some types of foods)
-infertility
*does not cause mental retardation or birth defects
The average person with Cystic Fibrosis lives into their 30s
So, yeah, its autosomal recessive and there are no found treatments. (?)

Caucasian (non-Hispanic)- 1/252
Ashkenazi Jewish- 1/252
Hispanic American- 1/462
African American- 1/652
